We’ve come to use our weekly live videos as a workshop time to discuss the topics we’ve gone over during the week. Because our quarter is officially over we’re just enjoying some time to workshop what our retreat will be on Saturday 7/25/26. Fr. Cathie and I talked about how we might tell the story of building a new denomination could be a jumping off point. We also talk about why the institution still matters, even as “institutional church” is failing/stuck, and reviewed some of the best parts of our quarter.
This video is public, but our retreat is for partners of Substack Seminary. Come on in, the water is fine (weird? ha!). We’ll be releasing more details about the retreat soon!
